Preventing Nautilus from taking over the desktop

I use openbox as my desktop environment/window manager. But I also use Nautilus as a file manager. Nautilus is often used to display the desktop in Ubuntu, but I didn't want it to do that. Here is how you start Nautilus without letting it take over the desktop:
nautilus --no-desktop
I usually assign that to a shortcut in openbox's rc.xml or menu.xml.
