Kupfer, a great Spotlight-like tool for Linux

For someone that uses Mac OS and Linux, I was on the lookout for a an app like Spotlight on the open-source side of life. Spotlight is a magical little program that comes with Mac OS. It allows users to hit command-space and quickly search all types of data, like their files, apps and even the Internet.

I eventually found a great app like this for Linux, called Kupfer. Kupfer, like Spotlight, allows you to instantly startup any applications without searching through menus. This is great for speeding up your work routine. Check out Kupfer in your distro's application repo, you won't be disappointed.
